Deacons' Report
CUPC Newletter | Janaury 2007

Happy New Years everyone! The 2006 year has come and gone. During the last two months, the Deacon’s were busy with the Thanksgiving Dinner, which was a huge success. We provided the food and God provided the people. It felt like feeding the 5,000 as told in scripture. The proceeds were donated to the Covenant Presbyterian Church Food Pantry that distributes food to low income individuals and families. We were informed that the $500 donation will help provide food to these individuals for a number of months, Praise God!

Visiting those who are homebound and bringing communion to two members was a new ministry for the CUPC Deacons. It is an awesome feeling connecting with members who no longer can come to church. As people of Faith, I believe that it is ministry for all of us to make sure that people are reminded that God has not forgotten them, especially when they are no longer able to come to church.

At this time I would like to acknowledge and thank the deacons who served from 2004-2006 for their dedicated work over the past three-years as Deacons. We will pray and support them in their on-going and new ministries.

Also at this time, I would like to welcome new Deacons who begin their ministry with us in January 2007. CUPC has been blessed with three new individuals that have heard God’s call in this ministry.
