Hello, my name is Jill Hom and I am extremely excited and honored to serve as the Executive Director for C.U.P.C. Summer Camp’s 32nd year of providing child care in San Francisco. Overall, this will be my 10th summer involved in C.U.P.C’s ministry, and my second as Executive Director.
For those of you who are not familiar with me, I am 24 years old and have a Bachelor’s Degree in Child and Adolescent Development along with Japanese Language, from San Francisco State University. I spent a year studying in Tokyo, Japan at Waseda University for the 2006-2007 school year and missed most of the 2007 Summer Camp program. One of the hardest things about being away from home was not being able to be involved in Summer Camp. So, I am very excited to be back and cannot wait to see the yard filled with enthusiastic children and smiling faces.
My goal is to provide a safe and healthy environment for kids of all ages to have fun in during the summer, whether as campers or leaders. I want the campers to have the opportunity to create friendships, experience nature and learn about God. I want to provide the volunteer leaders with life skills and the opportunity to get out of the house all summer.
C.U.P.C. Summer Camp greatly appreciates all of you, the families, who have made our program so successful for over 30 years. Thank you for entrusting us with your children and also encouraging them to give back to the program by eventually becoming leaders. Without all of you who return year after year, we could not be this successful. I am excited to see all of the familiar faces and meet the new ones.
